Pastor Larry was born in Mebane, North Carolina on August 19, 1956. He graduated from Eastern Alamance High School in 1974. He was saved in 1976 at Wicker Street Baptist Church in Burlington, North Carolina. He received an A.A.S. in Business from Alamance Community College in 1991, a B.S. in Sport Management from Elon College in 1995, and a M.Div. in Christian Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2002. He surrendered to the call to pastor in 1998. Since then Pastor Larry has shepherded two churches---Edgewood Baptist from 1998-2007 and the First Baptist Church of Collinsville from 2008 until the present.
Pastor Larry married his beautiful wife, Jan in 1994. They have no children. Pastor Larry enjoys football of any kind. He was a high school referee in North Carolina for 12 years. He coached football at both the middle school and high school level; winning a state championship at Graham High School in 2000. He also enjoys the mountains and relaxing with Jan.
